The farm shop opened in the summer of 2018, with the aim of selling high quality welsh produce. Ian has a passionate interest in British cheeses and now has a well-stocked deli counter with, on average, 30 welsh cheeses at any one time. He also has Guest Cheeses from different UK dairies.
There is a Wednesday and Saturday delivery of locally made Sourdough bread, produced by Andy’s Bread (Wednesday from Llanidloes) Rye & Roses (Saturday from Penegoes); as well as weekly deliveries of organic welsh milk, butter and free range eggs (discounted if you bring your own box!), gammon, pork, sausages, bacon and burgers, pork pies, and fruit and vegetables.
The farm shop now also sells locally farmed Welsh Lamb, Cig Oen Mawddwy, from nearby Llanymawddwy. This is an exciting new development and we are happy to be working closely with our farming neighbours.
We have BioD cleaning products and you can bring your bottles in to be refilled; and there are lots of delicious jams, preserves, chutneys, sauces, biscuits, crackers and chocolate available too.
Pop in and take a look - we are happy to take orders and reserve items too.
We’re delighted to be the first retail outlet for Welshhomestead Smokery products. The seriously delicious jams are mouth-wateringly good and the bacon has to be tasted to be believed!
Properly local lamb from our neighbours in Llanymawddyw. It’s very very good!
